Scotland's largest city will rightfully take its seat on the international stage in Cannes next March, joining the likes of Manchester, Liverpool, London, Blackpool, Salford, and more in championing the UK’s investment potential.

As Glasgow concludes its 850th birthday celebrations this year, the city council has joined the Scotland at MIPIM delegation for the 2026 edition of the global property convention. This will be the first time Glasgow has attended MIPIM since 2019.

MIPIM brings together more than 20,000 property professionals from both the private and public sector. Last year’s attendees came from 90 different countries and included representatives from some of the world’s largest real estate investors and sovereign wealth funds, who collectively manage more than €4tn in assets.

Investor and developer confidence in Glasgow is high and growing all the time – and this is a really valuable opportunity to showcase the city on an international stage.

Our message is clear. Glasgow is open for business – and to good quality development that benefits Glasgow, our economy and our people.

Glasgow City Council Leader Cllr Susan Aitken, who will be attending MIPIM 2026.

Joining Aitken for the convention will be Cllr Ruairi Kelly, the city convener for housing, development, built heritage, and land use. Their attendance has been facilitated by Place Media Group through the Scotland at MIPIM programme.

Scotland at MIPIM is a platform for driving the regeneration of the country’s towns and cities and enhancing the profiles of those places and the key decision-makers within them.

A truly Scottish initiative, it was conceived by MLA, PMP, Robertson, Drum Property, Saffery, Brodies, OOBE, and Civic. Scotland at MIPIM is being delivered by proven MIPIM experts Place Media Group, the company behind Place North WestPlace YorkshirePlace North East, and Place Midlands.

Scotland at MIPIM will have a prominent base within the UK Hub at MIPIM, offering partners and the wider delegation a focal point to meet and discuss the investment opportunities available in Scotland.

Place Media Group is extremely excited to be facilitating Glasgow’s return to MIPIM as part of our Scotland at MIPIM Delegation.

We look forward to facilitating a number of important events for the city to ensure investment messages land well and connections are made to ensure opportunities for Glasgow are created.

I look forward to working with Cllr Susan Aitken, Cllr Ruairi Kelly and the team in the run up to March and over at MIPIM.
